an organisation chart for radical sharing
This is a fractal organisational chart. Depending on the size or the complexity of the entity, the actual "depth" changes. Depth level 0 contains 1 "cell"; depth level 1 contains 7, depth 2 contains 49, depth 3 contains 343 "cells". All are powers of 7. What this structure brings out are: complementarity, a model for sharing, a non-hierarchical approach to governance. The "chief" is at the center, serving all. Can you imagine a non-profit, a business, a local government with this structure? What would be the advantages? Disadvantages? How would you improve the design so as to optimize complementarity, sharing, ease of governance, accountability? Any comments are welcome.
